VARSITY HEAD COACH - KEVIN CHESTER

As a seasoned basketball player and coach with a passion for the game, I’m excited to share experience and knowledge with the Columbine High School varsity basketball team.

My journey in basketball began as a collegiate player at both Campbell University and Nova Southeastern University, where I honed my skills and gained invaluable insights into the game. After my collegiate career, I took my talents overseas, playing professional basketball in Germany. This experience not only enhanced my understanding of the sport but also equipped me with leadership qualities and a global perspective on coaching.

Transitioning into coaching, I found my calling in nurturing young talent and shaping future athletes. Over the past seven years, I've been deeply involved with the Columbine basketball program, serving as the head junior varsity coach and as an assistant varsity coach. This tenure has allowed me to develop a deep connection with the players, the school, and the community.

Now, as the head varsity basketball coach at Columbine, I am thrilled to embark on this new chapter. I am wholeheartedly committed to fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and sportsmanship within the program. My goal is to not only elevate the team's performance on the court but also to instill values that will serve the players well beyond their basketball careers.

I am incredibly passionate about Columbine and the community it represents. It's an honor to be entrusted with the responsibility of guiding these young athletes and helping to shape the future of the program. Together with the players, coaching staff, and the support of the community, I am confident that we can build Columbine basketball into a thriving and successful program.
